Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. They outline the agreement between you and Residential Technological Solutions, LLC.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Residential Technological Solutions, LLC (“Resi Tech Solutions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Resi Tech Solutions provides residential IT support services, including but not limited to device setup, network configuration, security services, and technical consultation. All services are provided on an as-requested basis and are subject to availability.

3. Service Area

Our services are available to residential customers within the Greater Philadelphia area. Service availability may vary by location. Please contact us to confirm service availability in your area.

4. Pricing and Payment

Services are billed at our current hourly rate or at a flat rate as quoted. Remote support sessions require a one-hour minimum. On-site service calls require a 1.5-hour minimum. Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made.

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, cash, and checks. Prices are subject to change; however, quoted prices will be honored for the quoted work.

5. Scheduling and Cancellations

We request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee. We understand emergencies happen and will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

6. Service Warranty

We stand behind our work and will address any issues arising from our services at no additional charge within 30 days of the original service date. This warranty covers problems directly related to the work we performed. It does not cover pre-existing conditions, hardware failures unrelated to our work, or issues arising from third-party software or services.

7. Custom PC Builds

Custom PC build services are subject to the following terms in addition to the general terms above. Where these terms conflict with the general terms, these custom build terms take precedence.

Pricing Model

Custom PC builds are priced as a flat build fee plus the actual cost of components. The build fee covers consultation, component selection, professional assembly, cable management, operating system installation, stress testing, in-home delivery and setup, and 90 days of priority support. Component receipts are provided for full transparency.

Payment

Full payment of the build fee and estimated component cost is required before parts are ordered. If actual component costs differ from the estimate, the difference will be settled before delivery.

Cancellation

Cancellations made before parts are ordered will receive a full refund. Once parts have been ordered, the build fee and any non-recoverable component costs are non-refundable. If a cancellation occurs after parts are ordered, any amounts recoverable through manufacturer restocking will be refunded to the customer.

Workmanship Warranty

Custom PC builds carry a 1-year workmanship warranty covering assembly, configuration, and labor. If any issue arises from our work within one year of delivery, we will repair it at no additional charge. This warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

Component Warranties

Individual components are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties (typically 2-5 years).Resi Tech Solutions will assist with RMA coordination for any component that fails under manufacturer warranty during the first year after delivery. After one year, we can still assist with RMA coordination at our standard hourly service rates.

Post-Build Support

Every custom build includes 90 days of priority support at no additional charge, covering questions, adjustments, and troubleshooting related to the build. After the 90-day period, support is available at our standard service rates or through a subscription plan.

Discounts

Applicable discounts (senior, military, first-time customer, referral) apply to the build fee only. Discounts do not apply to component costs, as components are provided at cost.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost data, lost revenue, or damage to equipment not caused by our work. Customers are strongly advised to maintain current backups of all important data before any service appointment.

These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Backing up important data before service
  • Providing accurate information about their technical issues
  • Ensuring a safe and accessible work environment
  • Being present or available during scheduled service appointments

10. Intellectual Property

Any tools, scripts, diagnostic methods, or proprietary processes used by Resi Tech Solutions in the course of providing services remain the intellectual property of Resi Tech Solutions. We retain all rights to our methods and materials.

You retain full ownership of your personal data, files, and any content stored on your devices. We will never claim ownership of your information.

11. Indemnification

You agree to hold Resi Tech Solutions harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from inaccurate information you provide, unauthorized modifications made to your systems after our service, or misuse of solutions or recommendations we deliver. This does not limit your rights under our service warranty.

12. Termination

Either party may end the service relationship at any time by providing written or verbal notice. If you cancel during an active service engagement, you are responsible for payment of any work already completed.

Outstanding balances remain due after termination. Our 30-day service warranty continues to apply for the remainder of the warranty period on any completed work.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, internet service disruptions, pandemics, government actions, or other circumstances that could not have been reasonably anticipated or prevented.

14. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue mediation administered in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

Either party retains the right to bring claims in small claims court without first going through mediation. We do not require mandatory arbitration.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

16. Privacy and Data

We respect your privacy and handle all personal and technical information with care. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

17. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
